About Awards

The FE Week and AELP AAC Apprenticeship Awards are a celebration of excellence in apprenticeship delivery in the UK and provide an opportunity to give the recognition employers and providers deserve.

The awards were founded in 2017 and are part of the FE Week Annual Apprenticeship Conference.

I’m CEO of Performance through People, a Private Training provider which is part of the BCTG Group and have been involved in the Education and Skills Sector for over 30 years, representing Providers in groups such as WorldSkills, Ofsted Stakeholder Group, DfE Provider Reference Panel, and the apprenticeship ambassador Network. I’ve previously Chaired several Provider Networks and was the AELP Regional Chairman. I’m a previous winner of the AAC outstanding contribution to Apprenticeships award and was recently awarded an OBE for services to Apprenticeships and Skills which I’m very proud of. I have 3 grown up Children, James, Elizabeth and William, and became a grandad last month. Enjoy all sports but now watch rather than partake in.
